I simply found a screenshot on discord and posted it because I was unreasonably angry at hexbear due to the brigading of the discussion thread. Nope. Anybody on hexbear knows damn well it’s chock full of racist bigots. They are OK with all that racism and bigotry.
That makes them bad. A lot of racist bigots are polite and friendly. It doesn’t mean they aren’t scum.
You have a table with 3 people sitting at it, a Nazi comes over and has a seat, no one leaves or pushes the Nazi out, you have 4 Nazis sitting at the table.
At this point I’ve blocked between 3-4 dozen Hexbear folks across all my alts.
I have blocked several of their communities that I’ve seen on all. I was just saying that there are some diamonds in the rough. They are a lot more tolerable if you just block their dunking community and their political communities.
I currently can’t even block them, which is making a lot of threads unbearable to scroll.
That’s weird. I can block any user from any instance, but that might be because I’m on lemmy not kbin.
Might be a Kbin thing, I’ve block 3-4 dozen of them at this point across all my alts.
Thanks for deleting your post. I hope our two communities can live and share in peace. There are certainly some hexbears over here who have been too antagonistic as well as some people here who seem to want to stir things up.

Where are the sleeping ducks? On kbin I see a movie poster for “Mississippi Burning”.
Try reloading or restarting your app. It’s a picture of 2 sleeping ducks that I took at a boat launch.
I’m using a web browser. It seems to be a problem with kbin as some other posts have had switched thumbnails tonight. This is what I see, but I could go view it on the original instance I’d bet.
I’m on kbin too and trying to open the link to the image you did post (because I also have the movie poster preview) isn’t working (nothing loads).
What happens is that while federation is going on, kbin can’t get to your image either (probably because the server it was loaded on to is down or having issues), so it ends up grabbing the next image it can find and using that. In some cases the original content will eventually become available and clicking the title will link to it (like what happened here), but other times it won’t (or at least not in the timeframe when your post is active).
Best you can probably do is post a fresh link to your photo in the comments.
Also fuck hexbar and fuck tankies. To second Gargleblaster and paraphrase - if you make your “bar” welcoming to nazis, you’re running a nazi “bar”.
