Let’s not get carried away. Harris is not Trump. She gets my vote on that alone. And I’m happy she is building enthusiasm, I’m happy she chose Walz, and I’m happy Trump and Vance are experiencing one disaster after the next. But President Harris is the dream of one person, Kamala Harris. Everybody else is like “Sure, ok. Just beat Trump.”

She and the Democratic Party have a lot of shit to do, and she’s going to need to be more proactive than Biden was, or Obama. If she wins, it will be the beginning of the challenge, not the victory lap.

Note that Trump still leads in a lot of swing state polls, so there’s a lot of work left to do. Harris/Walz are gaining, and need to turn out the vote. I’m not saying n a swing state, otherwise I’d probably go canvass for votes.

Volunteering still matters in non-swing states. There’s a surprising number of down ballot races that end up being competitive in both solid blue and solid red states

Or if nothing else, you can still volunteer to phone bank, text bank, and or write post cards that go out to other states

How are people still referring positively to the American Dream? You know it’s capitalist propaganda, right? But sure, so is Harris. Still better than a fascist tho.
