Lemmy is active enough as is and the apps are great but I still have that unfortunate ingrained habit where I keep coming back to abusive Reddit.
I should instead focus my attention to contributing to the conversation here, sharing articles and creating original content.
I saw some transphobes on r/VictoriaBC commenting that

“they don’t care” & “why are they wasting money on this” under the story of UVIC having the largest transgender archive and the moderators left those up… not mention they regularly attack folks with substance use disorders saying “we’re too soft on them”
I had to unsubscribe and block that subreddit.
