When I was a kid I’d purposefully not tell my parents that I lost a tooth. I’d hold on to it and wait until I stayed the night at my grandparents and “lose” it there. Even as a young child, I was smart enough to realize that the tooth fairy discriminated against zip codes. At my parents house, she only paid up $1 for tooth, but at mamaw and Pappas? $10 for the thing!
This happened about 5 times before they started asking questions, btw.
My son JUST lost his first tooth so this is a perfectly timed post.
I hope he got paid fair market prices.

My daughter refused to sell her teeth, she still has them in a little jar. She fully believed in the tooth fairy, but didn’t think the transaction sounded fair.
