“in nuclear war the living will envy the dead”
I don’t need a silly nuclear war to envy the dead
I think it’s the Outer Limits episode Inconstant Moon which is about this. The moon is unusually bright, caused by the sun going nova and the people on Earth have hours left to live. Everyone on the day side is already dead and this one dude figures it out. He asks his crush out for coffee and have a nice night together till they die the next day (or do they? No spoilers). Very good episode.
I think about this episode a lot
if we get shot at with nuclear weapons I’m publically doxxing myself so they target my coordinates directly. better to be instantly vaporised than die slowly from radiation
Instant vaporization is such a peaceful way to go. You might even say it is nonviolent. It would be immoral not to end the incessant suffering of the human condition with instant vaporization. Please dox me too while you’re at it.
You okay bud?
You okay bud?
You okay bud?
Oops, I double posted and other people jumped on it… hehe.
I’m pleasantly surprised that you didn’t get downvoted to oblivion for it. Honest mistake, we’ve all been there.
Yeah… I guess I’m okay bud.
You okay bud?
You okay bud?
You okay bud?
Damn right. My plan is to be as close as possible to a ground zero, sitting naked in a lawn chair (except for sunglasses) with my favorite beer, holding an umbrella.
entering the afterlife with style
Just empty the fridge and get in. Closed the door. Worked for Indy (Jones).
Shades of Larry Niven’s Inconstant Moon.
I love a nuclear moon.
Maybe we need a nuclear winter.
Should the survivors amass bottle caps?
I could get behind this. It would certainly simplify things.
