Whatever happens it should show the country that solidarity matters … hopefully it spreads everywhere else.

General rule of thumb for me to interact with a website and read or watch whatever I want … if you require me to do more than two things to show me the content I came to see, I’m closing the tab or windows and moving on.

If it’s really important and security related, I’ll take my time and carefully examine everything I do.

Otherwise I’m not clicking more than twice and definitely not using my keyboard to see your dumb website or TikTok video.

Racists always mean what they say

It’s only when they’re caught or called out on what they said that they want to back track on everything.

It takes a coward to say terrible things anonymously and it’s only a coward that pretends they didn’t mean what they said.

Now I know why these things stink so badly

It’s really weird … after the war, it was perfectly acceptable to call out, accuse and point fingers at communists or communist sympathizers as enemies of the state … many of these people had fought as our allies a few year prior and helped to win the war.

At the same time, we were welcoming Nazis and Nazis sympathizer into the country - many of whom were the same people our veterans had fought against a few years prior - and then allowed them to gain wholesome productive and wealthy lives in complete secrecy because government knew that it no one would like that.

It was far easier to be a Nazi or a Fascist after the war than it was to be a communist or socialist.

The stigma is so great that no one even wants to admit it even today.

It’s no wonder that far right ideology is so prevalent these days. It’s a cancer we never wanted to fully immunize ourselves from. And now its coming back and we still won’t admit we suffer from it.

Outside Toronto? … how about over 50 remote and semi remote Native reserves in northern Ontario that either have undrinkable, almost undrinkable, distasteful, questionable or downright dangerous running water for their household.

All this in a supposed first world modern province of Canada.

Mine is wear a medical grade mask in public spaces.

It does multiple things.

First it protects you from air borne pathogens like viruses and especially COVID.

Second, if you are confronted or people get mad at you for wearing one, it immediately let’s you know what kind of people are around. If they’re the type that will get mad at you for wearing a mask, it’s definitely a place to leave and avoid in the future. A mask is a great way to weed people out in public.

My wife has lifelong lung problems now and we can’t risk any infections. So wearing a mask is necessary for me … and at this point in my life, it’s normal now and I find that it’s normal for most people. 90% of the people that see me in a mask notice but immediately understand and don’t make an issue of it. It’s 10% of the loudest idiots that make it a problem and a mask is a great way to unmask them (pun intended)

Therefore … take five minutes and make up whatever calculations so that you either pay nothing or very little, send it in and let them figure it out.

No sense doing all that work if they already know anyway because they’ll send you corrections and tell you what you have to pay.

And this is supposed to be a contest for leadership of the most powerful, most developed, most modern nation in the world?

The worst part of all this is that everyone on the planet will be affected by what Americans will decide on … and that is an absolutely scary idea.

The main problem with the debate is that the audience that is listening has to actually also be SANE.

If you have nutjobs listening to all this … they’ll love Trump no matter how reasonable Harris may sound.

The trouble has been, is and will always be … the general intelligence of the US population.

My story didn’t mean to imply how to become a millionaire … it’s a story of how to live within your means

All my property value is probably less than one small urban apartment and all my old vehicles are worth less than one brand new car.

I work for myself and don’t bother expanding. It all just means that the money I make was only for myself and only within my means. My house would probably be looked at like a country bumpkin but I’m not a right wing libertarian … I’m actually a liberal supporting socially minded leftist who also supports minorities and LGBT and women’s rights.

I’m indigenous Canadian and from the very start of my life I knew I was on my own so I had to live that way … but it didn’t mean that I gave up supporting others around me who were dealing with the same issues.

Or … don’t bother going to school and just work in construction and manual labor in your own small business.

It’s what I did for myself and now I own four properties and several vehicles without any debt. It’s all remote properties and all my vehicles are all old used and well worn … but at least I own everything outright.

Yay!! For the economy and investors!!!

So we all accept that there is no democracy and do our best to support the nicest plutocrat or oligarch?

I guess what I’m saying is that at the very least, we should stop deluding ourselves in believing that this is a functioning democracy.

It’s like recovery from addiction … the first step to dealing with the problem is admitting the problem.

When money and finances determine who gets to be in political office and the same wealth heavily or completely dominates the government …

… that isn’t a democracy

That’s an oligarchy, a plutocracy, an aristocracy … it’s everything else but a democracy … but what do I know, I don’t have enough money to have a say any way
