is this such a common thing worldwide? I’m asking because I’m from Latin America and moved to Europe years ago. this was never a problem before, but now I see myself being left in a vacuum so often by people I meet here I’m starting to think this is the stupid reason why… and this hits particularly bad when you end up liking someone and the feeling is that they basically forgot you even exist :/

I think it’s part of the many many many reasons that are plaguing our “western” world. So much shitty isolating cultural bullshit, leading people to literal suicide in unprecedented rates.

When you end up liking someone, talk to them about it, because there’s just way too many such metaphorical mines.

I feel you, it’s hard and honestly, unfair. We need to change this on a societal level, but don’t give up on trying, because of it. It gets better, and it works when you find an actual kindred spirit.

It’s both a numbers and quality game.
