That represents the threat of the opposing position convincing the members of the propagandist’s group. Even if the producer of propaganda doesn’t view the ideologues (thus far) as a threat, by their actions, they view the** ideology** as a credible threat.

I hate to be a downer… but its just as likely it could still be hopeless and the propaganda just makes it easier for them to take things from us.

The thing I love most about you OP is that you come with receipts.

I wish I had the motivation to constantly pull up sources.

gemocidejoeism is another name for Marxism-Leninism. You know, cause Joe Stalin was a genocidal homophobe. I wasn’t aware PugJesus was ever a tankie

If you can’t keep the fire burning with hope any longer, instead keep it lit with spite for those who benefit from snuffing it out.

    Almost there…

What is the largest, best funded, and most effective propaganda system in human history?

What nation uses its global media apparatus to whitewash centuries of unending war?

Didn’t even have to mention the US and you’ve got people jumping down your throat with angry replies and downvotes. Clearly the US hasn’t propagandized them at all.

      Russia?

Like, if you want to tee up an “America bad” answer, just fucking ask. American propaganda has excused and made apologia for a great number of awful things that we should have opposed, or should continue to oppose, especially capitalist bullshit and rampant interventionism.

Still so so close but not quite there…

Look up USAGM. Everybody has state-sponsored media, but one nation has a stable of outlets custom made for international propaganda.

How did the Spanish-American war start?

How did the Americans and the Soviets differ in their handling of Imperial Japan’s horrific Unit 731?

Who was the first state-sponsor of terror? (Look up Operation Mongoose and Operation Condor)

          USAGM

One of the dastardly arms of this dreaded cabal, how awful it would be to let others access the internet UNCENSORED :o

How did the Spanish-American war start?

A horribly timed accident, yellow journalism from private entities who would say anything to sell more papers, and Teddy Roosevelt itching for a war while President McKinley and the rest of his administration preferred not to?

How did the Americans and the Soviets differ in their handling of Imperial Japan’s horrific Unit 731?

The Americans offered Unit 731 immunity from prosecution in exchange for their work, while the Soviets offered a much smaller number of Unit 731 members sentencing leniency in exchange for their work?

Who was the first state-sponsor of terror?

          You’re fucking kidding me.

It’s much clearer when you don’t assume that there are any “good guys”

… okay? I don’t? But you keep tilting at windmills. You’ll kill a giant one day.

As a general rule, I try to expend less energy mocking you turbovirgins than you expend coming up with goofy comments. It’s real hard in times like these.
