My thumb was forever sore after learning that pressing the “X” button down harder actually made the cars drive faster. So glad we seem to have switched to using the triggers for driving games now.
Pressure sensitive PS2 controllers did need full pressure on the button actually.

The original PS3 controllers were pressure sensitive and motion controlled.
Was there a sensible implementation of this? If no, that’s kinda sad. I like it when they try new things.
It just mirrored the PS2 controller features since the original launch PS3 could play PS2 games.
A few games used it, but none of it sounds like a must-have. Just a lot of stuff that could be more effectively done with the triggers.

I used the right analogy stick back in the day for acceleration and braking. That worked well too.
