Linux/opensource crossword made using gnome crossword maker just for a bit of fun
1 is nixos
and 8 does not exist so
nan:P
How do you spell
ed
with five letters? smhGedit
How do you spell
Writing out bytes on a hard drive platter by carefully using a needle and a magnet
with five letters? smh my head*
Almost got it, it’s
nano
nvim
They could possibly mean neovim. They appear to have spelled it wrong, though.
Helix?
does not fit though
luckily we vim fanatics do not have to worry, through the power of wordle solver, we can use
exits
instead lolvim was a mistake. Go back to vi.
…but modernizing it is still a good idea, so I present to you: neovi(No, I’m not serious)
vi is what I used
nvi is a thing
emacs
[esc]:wq
- Better than vim
I’m done here, this crossword is bullshit
neovim?
I’ll allow it.
I don’t think about neovim being separate to vim, sorry.
I was expecting a ‘better than emacs’ clue to go along with this one.
It seems like only one side of the ancient rivalry is represented in the comments here. No worries, I’m right there with you.
The answer has got to be
helix
;)no, it should be kakoune :P
We’re not friends anymore.
Please moar of this!!!
Pretty confident in my solve. The only ones I didn’t get myself were 20-down, 29-down (obvious in retrospect), and 21-across (inferred the word, but didn’t know the tool).
spoiler

You can imagine my face reading the response of 15 lol I thought it was going to be a specific program hahaha I had a lot of fun with it and there were just a few I missed so I would love to see more like these in the future :)
I don’t think your spoiler tag worked.
Rendered for me fine on Jerboa
Voyager Displays it correctly.
Boost For Lemmy is not rendering spoiler tag
Are you using Sync? It never got the memo that Lemmy spoiler tags don’t work the same way as Reddit ones and famously displays them improperly
I am using Sync. Any suggestions on a better alternative?
The official app (maintained by the Lemmy developers) is Jerboa, which is what I’ve been using. It works well enough, although it always pays to shop around, install a bunch of different clients and see which you like best. Sync, to my knowledge, is the only client, for mobile or web, that renders spoilers in that broken way.
Try Thunder.
Thanks for this, it actually was a lot of fun to try and complete it! 😀
You need a spell checker friend.
I wonder if anyone ever made a crossword that also works as a QR code
I got all of them but three.
I had to google to figure out
nuclei and eagle mode existed
I still cannot figure out 24 across.
i got as far as this
I have no idea what 9 and 24 are, and at this point i don’t know if i care anymore
I don’t know 24, but 9 is:
solution to 9 down
scripting
Thank you, now i feel a bit dumb but i can rest in peace
Someone else said it. I never would’ve gotten this myself but now that I see it it makes sense.
24 across is
GENDER
Thank you i knew it was something of that nature
deleted by creator
Deleted has too many letters
AHAHAHAH
I made a comment about how “neovim” doesn’t fit in 8 across but found right after that there was a comment like that already
Nice. I solved 22 (with 2 of them being unsure), there’s 12 I don’t know. I can only assume the multiple listings of ‘List files in current directory’ is a deliberate joke because you use it so much, but somehow it doesn’t feel right.
You should find a website to share it where people can play it interactively! I’m sure such websites are out there, it’s too obvious.
Today I learned that gnome has a crossword maker. Now I need to play with it too!
19 down - WinNT
Proof
LOL
I dont get it.
RTFM!!
Confused man it sounds
