New satellite image of the aftermath of the Ukrainian strike on the Russian military base near Ostrogozhsk in the Voronezh region
Radio Liberty has published a fresh satellite image showing the aftermath of a Ukrainian strike on Saturday on a Russian military base in a forest 6 kilometers from the town of Ostrogozhsk in the Voronezh region. Smoke from the munitions explosions has cleared, revealing structures dug in the forest by the military. Earlier on Sunday, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said that the munitions had stopped detonating and that residents of two of the four villages that were evacuated were allowed to return home (a total of 600 people fled their homes due to the explosions). Another two villages will be examined for unexploded ordnance.
There were no reports of casualties as a result of the strike, but on Saturday Radio Liberty was able to find photographs on social media taken by Russian troops in the forest, which showed that personnel were constantly present at the base.
These images are months apart…? Is that typical when evaluating damage? To me, it is clear it was struck from just the second image alone
Special ordinance based ground levelling exercise.
Git 'em. 💪✊
Also, that sorta looks like a space laser cut a massive swath through Eastern Washington state.
