There’s just a tendency of US centrist-ism online where a lot of Americans assume that the rest of the world cares as much about what goes on here as we do. The idea that the whole world is watching the election closely, I feel, is an example of this, but of course I could be wrong.
Some of us unfortunately live next to or near Russia.
US also has military bases around the world so governments at least will be paying attention.

As a non American I think that this election might have an important outcome on the world somehow, so I’m watching it closely
