The problem was the one-third of eligible people who didn’t vote, the people who wanted an immaculate president, and when they didn’t get it, took a stupid, petulant moral high ground. Abstention and voting in protest only helps the enemy.

Anyone who thinks the Gaza situation or the treatment of muslims will improve under Trump is a fucking moron.

Glad to hear you liberals finally outright say arabs and Muslims are fucking morons and took a petulant high ground instead of… Voting for their own genocide.

You all continue to improve you’re just as racist as red maga, with more condescension.

This is nonsense sorry. Polls shows 50:50 split between Dems and Rep, but the reality is 1/3:1/3 with 1/3 of the electorate and disengaged. The voters aren’t the problem, it’s the fucked up 2 party system which has been massaged by both parties over many decades to prevent any competition.

Why should voters feel loyal to either of those parties? Don’t blame voters for not wanting to chose between two crap choices. To many, both the Dems and Reps are the enemy. Why expect them to care if one side or the other think there is an existential crisis in the shitty system they shaped?

I think people just want a president who doesn’t materially support genocide. If that is too high a bar, then your country deserves what it gets.

Then why did they vote for Trump?

You know, the the one who’s actions and words nearly mirror the key architect of the main genocide people think off when it comes up.

NOTHING in Trumps policy, actions and concept-of-plan tells me Gaza would be any better off under him, and there are significant signs it will be worse, wider spread and include Ukraine, Taiwan and the US itself.

I hate to quote Glinda, but

        I hope you’re happy
        I hope you’re happy now
I hope you’re happy now you hurt your cause forever
I hope you think you’re clever

No I’m not happy, I’m disappointed. And I’m annoyed that liberals can’t seem to be bring themselves to accept that the blame for Harris losing the election does not fall on the electorate, it falls on the Harris campaign and the long established Democratic practice of putting the needs/want of oligarchs and foreign policy hawks before the needs/wants of their own citizens.

And what are the chances that the Democrats have learned their lesson and will pivot to a more progressive candidate for the next election cycle? It seems more like a Zoolander situation - they just can’t turn to the left.

Exactly zero. The rich people in the DNC benefit just as much from the conservative agenda as any other rich asshole. Not being in power is completely irrelevant to their interests, as far as I can tell.

Unless and until Donnie makes good on his threats to imprison/murder his political opponents, none of them will give a single fuck that leftist didn’t want to vote for them because they weren’t left enough.

So they’d rather have a president who would support a genocide even more. Seems like a great decision.

Also, there were other issues at play in this election. Even Bernie Sanders said so

If your choices are between honest genocide and dishonest genocide I guess people will choose the side with more virtues.
