We need political literacy and civics test to vote…this is insanity.

trump doesn’t need the Senate for this one, thanks to the overlap between Trump’s and Biden’s picks:

Andrew Ferguson was initially nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as a Republican commissioner on the bipartisan FTC, and his elevation to chair of the commission will not require Senate confirmation.

One step closer to the total corporate capture of the Federal government.

I guess folks here in the US will need to get really involved in their state politics. What won’t be done at the Federal level, will have to be done at the state level, I suppose.

We all saw this coming. But Trump couldn’t have picked a bigger Corporate sellout as FTC Chair. And people will honestly say Dems abandoned the working class when they had people like Lina Khan working for them actively blocking monopolies and corporate takeovers.

What about if they point Biden appointed this guy to the committee and that’s why Trump doesn’t need Senate approval to make him chair?

Andrew Ferguson was initially nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as a Republican commissioner on the bipartisan FTC, and his elevation to chair of the commission will not require Senate confirmation.

And it wasn’t just this one…

      https://www.reuters.com/world/us/biden-names-two-nominees-ftc-commissioner-white-house-says-2023-07-03/

Biden appointed two Republicans to curtail Lisa Khan’s power to go after corporations…

He picked someone and was shocked when they didn’t do what he expected, which sadly seemed to happen with most of his picks. This one however was more progressive instead of more conservative, so she’s the ones he took action to limit their power.

I get on the surface it sounded good for Biden. But it’s not hard to find information these days about what really happened.

Your title is pretty misleading. Trump isn’t the president yet, so he hasn’t fired anyone. The original headline makes much more sense: ‘A Gift to the Oligarchs’: Trump Pick to Replace Lina Khan Vowed to End ‘War on Mergers’
