minus-squarecm0002@lemmy.worldOPlinkfedilinkarrow-up17·1 month agoNah, the onion was already prepared to spend millions buying the InfoWars domain for some grade A trolling, what’s a couple thousand for a side project trolling the troll lmao

minus-squarecm0002@lemmy.worldOPlinkfedilinkarrow-up14·1 month agoWell there’s no corrupt judge stopping them this time

minus-squareCuddlyCassowary@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up57·1 month agoHow is The Onion tankies? They were the ones trying to buy InfoWars to make it a comedy site, weren’t they?
minus-squaremetaStatic@kbin.earthlinkfedilinkarrow-up6arrow-down23·1 month agoYeah and the judge didn’t allow it

New appreciation for what the Onion does, making sure sealions are impossible without explaining the jokes.
minus-squareadarza@lemmy.calinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up22·1 month agothat (theonion case) was part of bankruptcy proceedings involving the assets in question. this, though, is 100% genuine free market.
