I feel the need to point out that this graphic, which I’ve seen shared in a few places, is extremely unhelpful as it does not list the names of any organizing groups, or provide any kind of website or other contact. Generally a big part of organized resistance is organizing. I get that maybe part of the goal here is to conceal the organizers, but it leaves people wondering who the fuck is even showing up if there’s no evidence a plan exists beyond a single JPEG.

There aren’t even times listed. How do people know when to show up?

Please at least provide some additional context when sharing the image. It will have a lot more impact.

I can’t. I got it like that. Its grassroots like this or fascism take your pick. I’m busy organizing.

Not the only thing being organized. There’s obviously a difficult tension here between taking the time to organize stuff properly, and not waiting so long that Trump and his cronies have time to consolidate power.

While there seems to be some disagreement as to what happens on the 17th, it does seem to have been largely settled on as the first of multiple days of action. If nothing else, getting in contact with a group like this means you’re in communication with the people who are trying to do something.

I’m already questioning the judgement of the organizers of this strike given they have a Twitter feed right on the main page…get the fuck off Twitter you morons

Waiting for the organized resistance that ticks off every single one of your personal requirements is a really great way to sit on your ass doing nothing.

Jumping on every half-baked attempt at resistance is a really great way to waste time and energy

You will wait and wait for the “right” plan to show up, and it never will, and you’ll be left wondering why no one stood up and did anything.

This is such a big setback that if Democrats win the White House, Senate and Congress in 2028 they’re going to spend 4 years just to rehire and build back a lot of the Executive branches as training etc takes a lot of time and money instead of moving the country forward.

This election was stolen through voter suppression at least, if not outright vote manipulation.

So will the next and future elections. Maybe we should stop focusing so much on next time and actually figuring out how to stop what is happening now?

Someone who is better at me at organizing could stage mass protests I guess. Not show up and wave signs, but actively get in the way of illegal steps like impeding doge and ICE thugs to keep them from carrying out their activities. Someone who is better at PR could get some airtime to incite active rebellion against thw coup.

The problem is getting the masses to understand that they can make change happen if they work together. But decades of propaganda turning everyone against each other will be hard to do while their lives haven’t imploded yet.

If those things aren’t possible then we are left with violent rebellion and that isn’t likely to enact change, just get the ignorant on the side of the fascists. The main problem is enough of the population is in favor of or fine with fascists as long as it doesn’t harm them too much personally.

Considering that everyone at CISA responsible for securing state elections has been put on leave, I’m pretty sure there will never be another fair election in any shape in the USA.

There isn’t a 4-8 back and forth cycle anymore. This paradigm no longer exists because the GOP has abdicated. It took the two parties to agree on this unwritten understanding.

The Dems are continuing to muddle around under the guise that a bygone era of decorum still exists… That maybe the old Republican party will come back. After each Dem term, MAGA will continue to do whatever the fuck they’re doing with reckless abandon. They know the Dems are cucked. One or both disappears as a party. We’re past that point for the GOP as it’s clear MAGA isn’t an aberration of 2016. So it must be the Dems re-invent themselves as something that can actually challenge MAGA.

This isn’t just a setback for Democrats. This needs to be a realization that the Dems are no longer a viable party. Sure on paper and in a bottle they are indeed a political party. Not one that is going to rise to the challenges.

People have been wondering if the party will be listless if Trump dies. Maybe that’s when MAGA finally reverts to the old Republicans. It’s clear now it won’t. They’ll elect a puppet president. The real president will be Musk or who ever else manages to worm their way in.
