Patriots in control, trust the plan!But in seriousness, what can we expect from this Pope politically? Western media says he’s a “moderate” but that could mean anything from a bourgeois perspective. I also learned he was made Cardinal just last year which is curious.
I know nothing about him but he is an American Catholic so my hopes are not high.
People are combing the twitters and finding the usual. He says charity is good, lgbt people are icky (maybe has moderated in the 10 years since), women are inferior to men, Catholic church should be more welcoming.
Pretty bog standard “nice” Christian then. Not a foaming at the mouth reality denier, just a bigoted misogynists.
