I don’t discount anyone’s opinions based on their political leanings. I’ll listen to Kim Jung-UN if you give me recommendations. I’ll admit I have trouble with Trump though, he lied too much.

Yes. Materialist philosophy informs politics. It matters even if you don’t agree with it.
