A powdery substance discovered in the White House complex that caused a brief shutdown of the facility Sunday evening tested positive for cocaine in preliminary results, according to two law enforcement officials. Skyler Henry reports from Washington.
The only thing surprising about this is that they’re surprised enough to investigate it. I suppose they’d need to ensure that any initially unknown substance isn’t dangerous, but I expect there has been and will continue to be a lot of cocaine done in and near the White House.
They went into shut down procedures, so they have to investigate. Doubtful anyone is surprised, someone is just angry that a staffer caused the situation to begin with.
