the full image seems to be fine, but I guess twitter decides to cut off the edges when generating the smaller version of the image to fit in the post?

So I guess you gotta leave a bit of buffer room at the edges of your images when cropping in order to prevent them from being butchered

There were good crops during the Irish famine it’s just they were just exported while allowing the locals to starve.
