It’s kinda weird that the first time I heard of Charlie Kirk was the time he got shot.
I’m just browsing Lemmy and the headlines were “CHARLIE KIRK JUST GOT SHOT AT A RALLY!!!”
And my first reaction was “Oh no! Also, who is that?”
And then I started learning who he was. So now I know that he was a gun advocate who held rallys calling for more gun violence. From that perspective I now know that he died doing what he loved. Getting shot.
If you’re American, it’s impressive you managed to avoid him!
I avoid everybody. Humans are the worst.
Well, avoid hearing about him. You’re on the internet, so some things are hard to avoid knowing about no matter how misanthropic you are!
I never heard of him before he got shot either. 🤷
