Did you even read the article? Do you have anything to say about the example discussed in it?

by cops… who are typically directed to do so by mayors… who are usually dems…
“these right wingers” are just predominantly brown leftists you disagree with. Did you even read the article?
If you’ve ever lived in a strongly blue major city for any length of time you’ll have seen this play out. Liberal mayor runs on big promises of reform, of progressive policy, maybe even of radical change, and a few years later there’s another incident, more unrest, whatever, and they’re first in line to have the cops put it down with force. There’s a whole interplay with right wing media and racist voters and other factors, but time and time again dem local governments choose to enact “law and order” overpolicing over solving the fundamental systemic issues causing violence, property crime, etc
yeah reporting says it’s “because he didn’t disclose” the pictures when he was being vetted but it seems pretty mild lol
this is disgusting
I would expect nothing less from a literal monarchy that hosts US military bases while claiming to care about palestinians, but still
wonder how it is on aarch64, I might try it
not particularly no.
if you like videos hasan had this guy on who seemed pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FptMU-0Sg8
and that guest recommended this video for something more polished and more detailed background: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrmGuR73QKQ
jeez I guess my reading comprehension needs work. I got fixated on the one confusing word lol
Thanks
alright but what does this actually mean? “exchanges”? does that mean all trade? which restrictions? Are they dropping the EV tariffs?
It really doesn’t
“israel” doesn’t need to control the US government for them to have a shared interest in genocide, colonialism, militarism. “Israel” has serious undue influence, but that functions as an internal discipline tool in the US establishment just as much as it serves “israel’s” interests. It’s tolerated, but ultimately the US holds most of the cards
This is of course disgusting criminal behavior by the zionazi regime.
But on a related note, I just learned about this freak https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_O'Keefe
Be vigilant about reactionaries in your midst, or they may one day get you killed.
I guess it expires in 2d if you don’t have an account
I have noticed shows like this tend to be hard to find. There’s just a lot of them and less replayability I suppose than narrative shows. For certain ones youtube actually has a lot (jay leno and craig ferguson) due to dedicated archiving effort by fan channels but idk about Kilborn. If I find anything I’ll comment again
boooo no more carssss
maybe, just maybe, we don’t need to engineer harmful situations to artificially “enhance” the bonding between groups of people? Maybe that’s cult shit. Maybe the groups where it “went too far” are just natural steps up from the cool, normal, good experience you describe
I don’t feel that strongly about the above, but saying you have to subject people to “unpleasant” stuff and haze them for group bonding to occur is a bridge too far. Just because you liked it doesn’t mean thats the only way people bond. And to be clear, the bowling I was referring to would be more analogous to the bbq after in your example. Something fun and off topic to do together, with a little spice and competition to keep things moving, but enough social time to bond. Participating in a race or whatever feels a bit different than a hazing run designed to be unpleasant and used to gatekeep.
having one example of it being subjectively positive doesn’t mean hazing is good or necessary in general
right? fucking going bowling is a bonding experience, not non consensual sadist ritual bullshit
I’m so tired of this corpo trash where the only unsaid growth strategy is throwing “bodies at it” in a completely wasteful con-artist way.
currently happening at my work. trying to push out the team thats been building their shit for 10 years and got it to the successful place that it is, in favor of interns and new hires who have no clue whats going on but want to use every new shiny object technology whether it accomplishes anything or not. So many people come to me with plans directly copy pasted from chatgpt for how to accomplish whatever task. No real coherent architecture being designed
How stupid do you have to be to run your whole operation on IT services that aren’t in your jurisdiction where you’ll have no recourse if they decide to fuck with you? I mean for businesses it’s whatever, but the US notoriously hates the ICC.
The banking sanctions are more surprising to me
