Generative AI specifically, AI as a whole can be useful even tho currently it’s overhyped.
How to blow up a pipeline has a chapter on the topic.
You can also read the original book and check the examples.
P.C. this is article about the fourth mentioned protest in the article, and literally the second paragraph is about clashes. There are 11 casualties during this series of protests.
But you knew that with your high standards of verifying information right?
Why Civil Resistance Works the book that 2x figure comes from has some major controversy about cherry picking data as well as playing with the definition of peaceful protest.
If peaceful protests worked (as good as this article suggestions) the BBC wouldn’t be writing about them.
I do not oppose improving connectivity in lemmy, I oppose doing it using AI.
There are already sites that help you explore lemmy communities like this one.
And there are a lot of ethical and technical concerns of using AI. On this you can see this video. Or read anything in [email protected]
I don’t think that is the case, but let’s for the sake of argument assume it’s so. Will populating lemmy with bots help this in any way?
Isn’t better solution to make the spaces and be the person who interacts with others?
I do not look at this as problem to be optimised and solved, we are in a social media, the idea is to talk with people, to feel connected and to exchange ideas. It is not perfectly optimal, but it also shouldn’t be.
Good point, I still think that no matter (for this case at least) why are they doing it for, they are opposing Israel, and that is a good thing.
Please do not, fuck ai
most of these figures and how they succeeded only because…
I am talking about the figures on the picture and not all of them at that.
I do not have the context for all liberation movements in history by far.
There is concept on the left called “critical support” it broadly means we agree with that one thing you are doing, but we also do not agree with other things.
In this case we can say: For sure killing LGBTQ+ people is not good, but striking a country that is currently carrying out a genocide is a good thing.
P.S. if you have better source for critical support please send.
There is a book “how to blow up a pipeline” that talks about most of these figures and how they succeeded only because the existence of more radical and violent wings of their movements. It is a good read.
Peak masculinity = starving SS POW
This will be very intensive for the bot, and will be just waste of energy.
I just stopped using AI at work, these companies are entirely, unimaginably unprofitable. If we all stop using them for a few months, they will just implode. ( Or maybe I am too hopefull?)
I love the idea of deterring them as if they have a choice and are just very persistent in exploring their passion, being homeless…
Is it possible to upload the consciousness of your mind into a computer? – Amreen, age 15, New Delhi, India. The concept, cool yet maybe a little creepy, is known as mind uploading
The process of uploading your mind is mind uploading, very creative…
This is why I posted this basically.
I am wondering can a culture war even be won? Aren’t we allowing the conservatives to define the game to such extend that makes winning impossible?
And additionally are these wars even separate or one and the same but viewed through different lenses?
What do you think, oh wise people of the internet?
I am once again called to praise orgzly.
The idea is simple, it keeps all your info in plain text files on device. It allows tags for whatever you need, recipes, articles, books to read, whatever you like.
Keeping it in sync with a PC is possible in several ways, I use syncthing.
It is for sure not the easiest solution, but it’s all open source, all plain text and gets the work done.
P.S. on PC I use logseq to edit my org files, but there are other options.
P.S.2 I read the question again and I had missed the part with the e-reader. I doubt my approach will help there, but I will leave the comment in case it is helpful to someone.
Is it only about the US?
The article also made claims. Did you check them?
