Yeah, that’s just what Netflix does. They cancel shows. I’m skeptical that the cancelation decision was made because of gaiman’s allegations. If it was I don’t see how continuing production on season 2 after the fact makes any sense.

Doesn’t season 2 of the sandman come out in a couple weeks? Doesnt really seem like he’s being boycotted.

I can understand being hesitant to pay money for something when valve says they’re not sure about a game. But honestly, the verified system is practically worthless at this point. Checking ProtonDB instead usually gives me more accurate info on a game’s compatibility and people will often provide fixes for games that don’t work perfectly out of the box.
Regardless, happy sailing my man. 🏴☠️

I didn’t have any problems on my deck when I played it a handful of months ago. There was just a stupid issue where Ubisoft made me sign into the launcher every time I wanted to play. There was an offline workaround though that worked fine I found on protondb. After that I was able to lock it to 40 with some settings tweaks. Played great.

It’s not THAT old. And it’s not like Ubisoft games look substantially better now than they did back then. Black Flag is probably the AC game from the older AC games that holds up the best. The water specifically from that game is still impressive today and the pirate ship battles have still never gotten better than that.

Yes, their GPUs are manufactured by TSMC in Taiwan but they just follow the designs given to them. The layout of these GPUs and the architecture of the chips are all designed and controlled by these American corporations.

Its ridiculous. Red voters are only ever going to vote red. They always have and they always will. Left leaning people in this country outnumber right leaning people by a wide margin (because reality has a left leaning bias). The issue is that dem individuals often just don’t vote when a candidate is put forward who is cowtowing to the right. The right still votes right and the left doesn’t vote. Then we get what we have now. If dems put forward a politician that progressive voters actually want they’ll have a much better chance. And AOC is probably a more well liked dem politician right now (among the left) than anyone else except maybe Bernie. But he’s probably too old at this point. So AOC makes the most sense right now to me and probably anyone else with a brain.

Assuming thats the case I don’t really see a problem here. I’ve never been able to download any applications at all on any work computer I’ve ever used short of apps the company itself uses.
Seems completely understandable to me to bar employees from using a competing service especially if there are genuine security concerns.
I used to work as a teller at a bank and at one point some higher up sent out an email to the branches talking about how great Chick Fil A’s customer service was and asking branch reps to brainstorm ways we could incorporate chick fil a’s policies into our own to improve the customer experience. I sent a long email explaining why I believed their customer service was insincere, overrated, and culty and why I believed it would be a bad idea to do anything to emulate their experience since people who come to banks don’t want to feel like theyre in a fast food restaurant.
A month later I had a raise and a new position in the customer service team. Sometimes speaking your mind can benefit you.
Though, quick disclaimer: I’m a cisgendered tall white dude. My experience is likely not indicative of someone else’s.

And the Smithsonian is saying the loan agreement with the owner of the books, Rev. Brown, expires in May. So they’re returning them to him to rotate in new exhibits per regular operating procedure. If that’s true I don’t really understand the issue here. Rev. Brown seems to be under the impression that they’re removing the items because of Trump’s order. But he, at least in this article, doesn’t even address the Smithsonian’s explanation so I don’t really know what’s going on here. But it really doesn’t seem like this is because of Trump’s policy. If it was why would they just be removing these two books and nothing else?
Heavily depends on where you live. I live near a big city on the east coast in a largely Blue state. I have 1 gig FiOS internet (up and down). In my area Comcast and Verizon compete for customers so our speeds here are alright. But there are plenty of areas in the US that have absolutely abysmal internet. Either because the area is rural so not much infrastructure has been built up or because the ISP in that area holds a monopoly on the market and doesn’t have to increase speeds to keep their customers. I’ve heard horror stories of people being stuck with like sub 10mbps because there are just no other options.
