Progressive policies are actually popular.
Not according to voters patterns they aren’t. Comments on Reddit, threads on Lemmy and shits on Xitter doesn’t do anything if by the end of the day people who are incredibly active in those threads just don’t vote. It is either because it’s actually not a lot of people doing a lot of noise, or a lot of people who don’t know how American democracy operates, and it doesn’t matter if there is a difference. Promises of progressive politics don’t bring votes, simple as.
And if they will spend the last minutes they had on primaries, first of all you wouldn’t participate in them anyway because you think they all rigged or whatever, and then you would not vote anyway because whoever won on primaries didn’t have enough time to campaign and you just feel like you don’t know enough about them to make a decision.
The levels of bullshit you have to come up with to avoid admitting you just collectively wanted Trump to win is astonishing really.
