USSBurritoTruck@startrek.websiteOPMto Risa@startrek.website•My reaction when there's a new Star Trek show for pre-schoolersEnglish11·28 days agoWhile I personally have no interest in watching a youtube show for three year olds, as a new uncle, I hope the show will be a good entry point into the franchise for my niblings once they’re old enough to get something out of it.
As for a cooking show, don’t threaten me with a good time. Let’s see Latinum Chef Romulus’ reaction when the challenge ingredient is leola root.

and B - Do you also think that every meme featuring Kirk should have some indication that he’s speaking in Shatner’s distinctive cadence? If it was Sisko, Avery Brooks projecting to the rafters like he’s in a stage play? What about Kate Mulgrew’s mid-Atlantic accent for Janeway?
USSBurritoTruck@startrek.websiteOPMto Risa@startrek.website•What's the difference?English8·4 months agoNo, because neither I, nor the person who made it I assume, are trying to appeal specifically to the whiny, shit tier elements of the fanbase.

USSBurritoTruck@startrek.websiteOPMto Risa@startrek.website•I'm about to have to get a second jobEnglish18·9 months agoI wonder how much of a gateway Lego might be for young potential fans. What eight year old looking through sets of superheroes and video game characters, isn’t going to immediately gravitate to the Enterprise D conference room?
Child: “That’s where Data and Geordi explain things to Captain Picard!”
Me, wiping a tear from my eye: “Yes it is.”
32nd Century Historians: “Doctor Bashir was good friends with a Cardassian tailor named Garak. Though both men would occasionally take a romantic partner, their friendship was the most enduring relationship in both men’s lives.
”Doctor Bashir and mister Garak’s friendship was characterized by frequent lunch engagements, discussions of classic literature, and long sessions together in the holosuites.
”Eventually the two men retired together to a small pleasure planet that catered primarily to males. Mister Garak ramped down his tailoring to work exclusively with leather, and the pair raised prize winning voles.
”After Garak passed away in his sleep, Doctor Bashir is said to have become distraught. He refused to leave mister Garak’s gravesite, and died himself only three weeks later.”

“Drive” is the episode where Paris’ ongoing midlife crisis prompts him to convince Janeway that allowing him to enter the Flyer in a politically charged race between former enemy states is a good idea.

It is wild to see the entitlement of some segments of the fanbase. These people would shit and piss their pants if they were comic book fans.
