As someone whose eye sight is shit, websites with grey text on an off-white page piss me right off.
We (Aussies from Melbourne) tried to find decent Chinese food in England and gave up. Most of it was worse than Australian Chinese from the 1970’s! The Indian and Turkish restaurants however, were amazing.
Yay! The Nostromo finally gets a mention. The attention to detail in the ship is amazing and a whole new set of warning symbols were designed for it.
And the Kenyans. The English developed concentration camps in South African and used them in Kenya during the Mau Mau rebellion.
Pullo and Vorenus were great characters!
Oh No! . . . . . . . . Anyway!
Lemmy is great. Altho now it’s full of Linus apologists so it sucks atm. Also Memmy is fantastic!
I migrated from Digg to Reddit in Dec 2009. I’ve gone through several accounts since then. I’ve deleted the most recent accounts and have tried to delete the older ones - although Reddit won’t let me delete one account for some reason (delete keeps failing). I joined the Aussie Zone Lemmy instance and love it here. One thing I think redditfugees need to remember is that Lemmy instances are not ad supported, so WE NEED TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT OUR HOME INSTANCES!
Very happy to see this was added!!
Let me guess, his ‘ubermensch’ plans involve him impregnating young women gag
QGIS (https://qgis.org/en/site/). A Free and Open Source Geographic Information System. There are also free basemaps available - I use the same basemaps as I use at work in ArcGIS Pro.
This is a masterpiece! Now I miss r/murdered_by_words!
Wow! They went into pre-history!
Yay! My upvote took this post to 69
“We’ve had one walk, but how about a second walk???”
Hi, Sub.rehab is the only place I know of to find Kbin magazines. I subscribe to the Kbin.Social RedditMigration and 3D Printing magazines. I’m subscribed to 60 Lemmy communities and 2 Kbin magazines, so plenty of content appears when I select Subscribed/Active. How to subscribe to Kbin magazines from Lemmy is shown in this post YSK how to subscribe to kbin magazines from lemmy. How to subscribe to Lemmy communities that are on other instances is detailed my comment in this post (Note: there is probably a better way!) What’s the best way to find instances and communities?. Note: Something I don’t understand yet, is that all the links (above) are from my home instance’s point of view (https://aussie.zone), so what happens when someone (like you) opens the links? Are you now linking to a community on your home instance via another instance???

Hello fellow Redditugee, I found Lemmy Explorer https://lemmyverse.net/communities to be very handy. I like the layout and the search/sort capability. The process I followed to subscribe to communities was to:
