This post only says that the Lemmyverse data “is used to suggest search results to people when adding a remote community.” Is this data also included in the communities page?

Another thought about the linked post: Removing inactive communities from the Lemmyverse data is certainly a good thing for stuff like “technology”, “memes”, “news” etc., but if you’re looking for a community about a very niche topic you might even be interested in an inactive community without active alternatives to perhaps “revive” it with your posts.

One important thing about Lemmyverse is that you can search for communities your instance isn’t “aware of” yet. Seeing the “Add remote community” button, I guess this is something that’s not possible with Piefed’s community search?

Yeah, I got it on vinyl. “Radio” is their most popular song. It’s a short but very good album imo with a mix between fun songs (“Radio”, “10 Bier zuviel” and “Scheisse”, I remember) and deeper and darker songs, e.g. “Allein zuhaus”:

Not an answer to your question, but my experience of browsing lemmy has improved after hiding all scores.

That’s actually not the correct cover art for the album I listen to. I listened to the self-titled (according to Discogs) 10" with an equally or more disturbing cover art, but on Last.fm it’s called Fotografieren Verboten instead, so that’s maybe why it’s not the same cover art.

But I was too lazy to change it.

I haven’t used piefed myself but I wouldn’t want to switch to it because I feel like it gives more power to downvotes and karma (or “reputation” as they call it):

• Comments with -10 score are collapsed by default.
• People who get downvoted a lot end up with a ‘low reputation’ indicator next to their name. You’ll know it when you see it.
• Upvotes in meme communities do not add to reputation.

Those are three of the twelve points listed as differences to lemmy on their features page.

I also don’t agree with some of the points in their article on “PieFed features for growing healthy communities”.
