This is just some guy yelling into the ether about posts that rustle his jimmies.
Penalty is a million dongs
deegeese@sopuli.xyzto Technology@lemmy.zip•Lawsuit claims discrimination by Workday’s hiring tech prevented people over 40 from getting hiredEnglish3·14 hours agoOf course it does. Automated decision systems simply automate discrimination. Nobody does the hard work of sanitizing biased data from the inputs. They just feed biased data to “neutral” algorithms and act shocked when the computer decides men who like baseball are “better” candidates than women who like softball.
In this case I’m sure it picked up that the plaintiff was from a historically black college, and based on discrimination baked into its inputs, decided to reject him.

deegeese@sopuli.xyzto Ye Power Trippin' Bastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com•awful.systems shadowbanned me?8·18 hours agoThe admin of a small Awful instance is handing out bans from their instance to people from other instances who make posts on other other instances which offend the Awful admin.
Basically some cranky person is publishing their personal block list and the appropriate response is to ignore the Awfully-run instance.
Look at this guy trying to act like a wise referee handing out meaningless bans with zero effect. It’s like if I shout “red card!” at a TV soccer match.
deegeese@sopuli.xyzto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the cost of removing a small mountain?71·18 hours agoYou’re comparing moving 100 cubic meters of soil, so 200tons+ 10-15km away versus paying $20.
One of these is vastly more expensive than the other.
Governments would rather use eminent domain than literally move mountains.

Can’t have karma farming bots without karma.

Changing either one requires industry consensus.
Oh, I assumed the mesh was for defense. Thanks 👍
So how is this mesh helping in any way?
If it misses, it still misses. If it takes a hit, it still goes down.

I’ve had top taskbar auto hide since Win95.
MacOS got it right back in 1984 but Windows insisted on doing it wrong like an edgy teen wearing their baseball cap to the side.
It’s the Windows taskbar. They used to let you move it to the top but had to remove that feature to support CoPilot.

Otherwise no.
I’m not sure a cope cage is going to save the propellers from shrapnel.
I had this toy robotic arm called Armatron and the thing chewed through D-cell batteries.
I wired it up to a modern USB power supply
