Don’t go for the conservative position. I chose the same path a year ago and - as others said - hate every second of work there. The higher salary is not worth the bad time you’ll likely have. This is only my personal experience but maybe it helps you avoid the same mistake I did.

I think functionality wise both are equally as good as each other, but I doubt M365 is any better privacy wise. In the end they will harvest your data anyway. Microsoft is no better than Google. Personally, I’d go with a Nextcloud which also comes with a free and open source replacement for Google Docs.

I didn’t check the actual list in the article but I think the image of this post is not related. At least there are companies in it which I definitely know don’t operate in Russia anymore

Both is trivial in my opinion. The problem is OP using ancient software that only runs on an ancient OS. In this case upgrading is not trivial. Even though upgrading is a major investment in this case, it only gets worse the later its done. Typical case of technical debt

Which is better but still sucks. The whole thing is flawed from the ground up: In order to remember you opted out of cookies, it is necessary to store a cookie in your browser. Cookies should be op-in but I think it’s obvious this is not gonna happen

Kind of odd to use Signal (a privacy and security focused messenger) on Windows 7 (an EOL and thus highly unsecure operating system).
