  • I would like to think that Bernie Sanders is one of those people.

Republicans have a propaganda network back then to fight against Obamacare (which isn’t even Medicare for all). It was really surprising how much the Republicans fought back given the zeitgeist was going the other way with Michael Moore and all that. The whole “death panel” stuff took the air out of the room and Republicans were going on non-stop about how it was the greatest injustice to all of America. It was wild.

Also, if you look at those that benefit from Obamacare and the fact that they’re losing it. They still hate that it’s associated at all with the Dems. It’s weird.

  • I think in general most people have a more favourable view of her giving because she’s pledged to give away the bulk of her wealth during her lifetime and a lot of her pledges are unrestricted donations: https://yieldgiving.com/gifts?essay=20200728 … I don’t think she’s one of those that’s using her wealth to consolidate more wealth and make things worse for others.

Not to you, but I want to be clear about this before I get flamed. I’m not saying that is a replacement for a proper tax system or an equitable system in general. This should not exist at all. However, I do find that if you’re rich that you should be doing philanthropy.

  • Yeah, that’s why I sometimes in engage in online discussion when I don’t want to because I can see that if it’s only a certain type of comment then people reading could think there’s a consensus.

Overall, I honestly think engaging in the atheism discussion was important because it allowed me to learn about religion more and what they believe in … and in contrastI don’t believe in it at all. It also made me discover parts I do like about religion like community and such.

  • I’ve seen a few of his more recent clips. He’s still playing games on livestream and giving out advice. Obviously with a much smaller audience.

I’ve never really followed him that closely to begin with. I would like to think he’s a good guy that has dumb opinions on certain topics. However, I also don’t care enough to dig into it deeper.

I curate my feed too. I also watch only one short or have to select it myself. I refuse to scroll shorts one after the other.

  • I think I’m miscommunicating it. You know how sometimes you feel as though you understand a topic until you have to explain it? :D

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5lqJF5BTvo (40minutes)

    This video talks about it.

He talks about a Discord server where they pay people to do it. Not like editors or employees which are perfectly fine and make sense, but to hire other people to do it:

    https://discord.com/invite/clipping

If you clip their stuff they’ll you via their campaigns through that Discord server. It’s to game the algorithm to make people think that other people are really interested in this to push them up the charts.

He brings up a good point in the video where he talks about how this should be considered advertising as opposed to natural content and labelled as such but laws around this are not clear.

  • You haven’t heard? It’s like when Fox News reported about No-Go Zones in London UK where only Muslims are allowed to travel. We can only assume that Mamdani wants to expel cisgendered straights out! /s

    I think it’s obviously projection. They’re fearmongering.

  • Yup. It came out that Clavicular has been funded by Peter Thiel. I was watching a guy do a marketing breakdown of a “clip farms”. Where top streamers pay people to clip their videos and upload them to flood the algorithm. PirateSoftware, Asmongold … like a lot of streamers use this service to surface to the top.

I think he did a breakdown of Clavicular and he was like, someone has poured a lot of money into getting this guy noticed.

  • Not gonna lie, you’re right … I’ve been stopping. I only recently bought my house and it was my brother’s old house and he was watering it a lot, but at least he’s been doing it at night. The weeds on my lawn are greener than the grass itself which is what changed my mind …
