Idle Slayer has held my attention for a few years now. It’s cross-save and free on steam. It’s got interesting progression and non-predatory micro transactions. Although, I would say it might be a bit too active for what you’re looking for. Might be worth a try though.

Melvor Idle seems cool but I haven’t put much time into it. It’s made by jaggex and it’s essentially idle runescape except it’s all done in numbers and progress bars. I.e. you set ur guy to train fishing and they just fish, gathering materials and xp until you come back and set it to some other task.

If Melvor is “idle runescape,” then ‘Idle MMO’ is “idle maplestory.” I played idle mmo for a bit but it’s definitely a lot more attention demanding than anything else I’ve mentioned here so it’s probably not what you’re looking for.

Of course you can’t go wrong with any of the basic cookie clicker-types like AdVenture Capitalist, Egg inc, etc. Although if you’re looking to only play on pc I would suggest you just go for the OG cookie clicker.

It’s been a few months so I’m fuzzy on the details, but I gotta say I haven’t meshed morally with a piece of media like Methaphor since adventure time. Can you explain that stance? Especially if you liked the philosophy of persona 5, which I see has significantly worse.

Finished Dark Souls 1 for the first time last week. Started Dark Souls 2. Played the games on release but I didn’t have the gamer patience to really get through them. I know DS2 is the black sheep but I’m honestly really liking some of the changes so far, the menus in particular.

I think you’re just seeing a representation of the times compounded by 30 Rocks refusal to engage seriously with a single social issue. Not to downplay any of it but the racism in that show was very Obama-era Carlos Mencia “racism is funny not hateful” type of rhetoric. Definitely problematic at the time even if you ignore the longer-term consequences. Honestly every single of representation of social progress or liberation in 30 Rock is truly awful down to Liz Lemon Feminism™️.

Anyway I don’t think Tina’s writing is inherently hateful, it’s just lib as hell and she doesn’t want to actually try to engage with any real issue.

Like there’s clearly a difference in quality and outcome between a show brought back from cancelation (on streaming or otherwise) and a show log finished being yanked from the grave. Futurama had too many banger endings to be the former. I still have a modicum of hope for the new gumball episodes.

Probably will be hot garbage but I really hope it’s not a Videogame Movie™️. Like don’t show me Timmothy Chevrolet going “wuh oh guys! I’m out of flasks!” I would also love if the movie had nothing to do with Miquella or the shattering but instead of being a potentially interesting spin off or side story it will almost certainly be a clumsy retelling of the most important historical bits in the game. Or… oh god it could be a story of the player playing the game

no they work for sure. but outside of a deal they gave me when I first started using Temu (go figure), it’s always like “spend $X and you get cheap stuff!” but then you have to scroll under a 10 min timer because they won’t let you search for things you actually want to put towards the deal.

oh god this is worse than Temu. Temu just has fake games that try to trick you into “taking advantage of this great deal!!” I told my parents they’re not allowed to use it because they’ll definitely fall for the bs.

As a cis Jew with minimal skin in the game I’ll say I see where you’re coming from. Francis did a lot better then most of his predecessors and regardless of the evil perpetrated by the Church™️ as a whole, to ignore such a globally pervasive religious organization as a “lost cause” is not productive.

However, after reading this thread, your insinuation that you’re coming with nothing but “good-faith” is laughable. To have the “cool” pope francis say “yeah trans people are like the worst danger ever” is divisive and condemning as hell. And, on a more personal note the idea that dead people must be respected is some absolute horse shit. “Good-faith” means attempting to understand the opposition (see first paragraph), it doesn’t mean being nice and holding hands.
