Please reassure me Roskapankki is still operating.

They’re cutting a ton of good union jobs and offshoring as much as possible while being crazy profitable. This is so fucked up.
12+ years user, I nuked all my accounts when the 3rd party apps died. I still follow a few subs that have no replacement yet.
Those events right before summer reddit ensure its a smoldering pile of rotting compost.
Damn right, the real-estate bubble got started under Harper and kept going steadily under Trudeau, probably because so many politicians are also landlords or in cahoots with developers/investors (including the NDP).
Canada is eyes-deep into the “fuck you, I got mine” nightmare mentality across the entire political spectrum.
I for one welcome our communist robot overlords.
They could try paying people decent wages, which have been stagnating for 35 years. Maybe then they’ll be more motivated to be more productive.
My Instant Pot. I’m the cook at home and it saves me so much time and food comes out so good I barely use my stovetop anymore. Same with the air fryer. Between both kitchen gadgets, I can make a tremendous meal for 4 in 30 minutes. It has saved me weeks!
What sucks is there’s still a few very good subs with big communities that don’t seem to be moving to the fediverse, which is still too geeky for a lot of people. However, now that Reddit is banning active members and moderators, it’s a matter of weeks until the whole thing turns into 4chan-on-a-bad-day. At this rate we’ll all get back to usenet by 2024.
Reddit has made it easy now that my mobile apps are gone. Also, my main account got permananned on Tuesday apparently out of comment posted 5 years ago about spez. Also, a niche sub I followed was taken over by a Nazi when the historical mod got kicked out by reddit and now that’s gone too.
Reddit has slipped into being irrelevant very quickly.
Air Canada pilots have just joined ALPA and got pretty big raises in their new contract. Good for them, but management is pissed.
Yo can buy wine and beer in corner stores and drink in parks all over Quebec and it’s not a problem. Ontario isn’t different, except for the persistent smell of prohibition (which started in Ontario!).
They said the same thing about weed stores and there hasn’t been any increase in accidents.
Those who want to drink will drink, making it more accessible won’t change that. It’ll be nice not having to drive multiple kilometres to get a sixpack.
So… what’s the news?
AC has gone to absolute shit. I fly internationally and pay extra to not fly with them due to past experiences. They still owe me thousands of dollars for “lost” luggage and hotel nights last year and I hope to never fly with those bozos ever again. AC management being shit is one thing, the way the agents treat passengers is another level of insult.
I see things haven’t changed ;)
