3·1 year agoThe migration from Digg (and /. beforehand) didn’t happen overnight. Also subreddits didn’t even appear until 2008. These things take time, and that’s good. Lemmy is not ready for mass adoption, but it will be soon enough.
2·1 year agoMegathreads were an improvement over the same story being posted a hundred times (not an exaggeration).
With regards to the question: the bigotry, the boy’s clubs, the tactics to deliberately exclude some members from the conversation. I doubt Lemmy will avoid them wholesale, but maybe they will be curtailed and limited to a few instances.
I’ve been using Solid Explorer for years. There’s likely something better now, but it’s served me well.
