    It’s probably the least destructive they could be. Though I wish there were more Dems railing about how disrespectful it is to all service members and veterans. Way worse than taking a knee.

      It’s a two way street. I’m not a veteran but I do not care if my political opponent displays an inverted flag. It’s meant to be a signal of recognition of distress. It’s not even necessarily unpatriotic.

        I’m a veteran. I also give zero fucks, but it’s like we’re just ceding that ground. I care about an inverted flag like the satanic temple wants baphomet statues in middle schools - not at all but they’ll do it just to make a fucking point.

    I’m fine with it, it’s better than them rushing the Capitol or rioting in the streets.
    This is basically the equivalent of “thoughts and prayers” in response to Trump’s conviction. I’ll take it as a good sign. It means he doesn’t have enough power over them to make them act like he did in 2020.
