So, the solution is to put Trump in office so he can carpet bomb the Gaza strip and then we just won’t have to hear about Palestine anymore?

Can’t commit genocide against a people who are already dead!

I don’t understand the point of this cartoon.

The solution is state level electoral reform and replacing First Past The Post voting with a more representative voting system such as (but not limited to) Ranked Choice voting.

They’re not tell you to vote for trump, they’re telling you that your votes don’t matter. The statue quo will not change and if settling for that is all you got then it doesn’t really matter.

Also, carpet bombing gaza would be mercy compared to what the sick fuck Israeli are doing to them.

Stating a fact doesn’t make you stand on one side or the other. Saying kamala like Biden will still support a genocide is not an ask to vote for trump. At most, it spread awareness and asks for individual actions at the local level. Working locally so it goes up the ladder is the best bet.

At the moment, there’s no solution for your joke of a political system consisting of choosing between “we do genocide, but we swear we’re good people” and “we do genocide, hell yeah!”.

If only your country didn’t want to control the whole world, maybe. But the whole world is concerned with your shitty politics. Nobody want to have bombs being dropped on there house, you know? Believe me, nobody want to care about another country shitty politics, so if the US stoped dropping bombs on random countries, then hallelujah !

In fact, we aren’t able to stop them and mainstream media aren’t helping either even with our strike. So, what do you want to do ?

The only political group that condemned israel is the left coalition NFP more exactly FI. One deputy showed up with the Palestinians flag at the national assemblies and was condemned by Macron political group and the right group.

When we support Palestinians they send the police to stop this “propaganda”.

Shitty as it may sound, and as broken as the US political system is, our votes do count. Just not as much as they should.

We need to vote Democrat until we have a viable option further left or that the right starts moving left to pull in voters forcing the Dems to go even further left. The more of us turn out and vote the more the Republican party is going to need to concede if they want to keep getting elected. I’m in a blue state so while my vote may not be the deciding factor I will still cast it for a left candidate so those on the right that do count the votes know that I want progressive policies and that they don’t represent me.

I’d really like to see third parties focus on the local governments and build enough of a base that they can start competing at the state and national level. But sadly we aren’t there yet. We need to build that local movement first before voting third party in the presidential election makes sense.

I don’t think you’re wrong in spirit, but we are the “never again” crowd. It’s a good motto to live by and it’s entirely true. The fact that some people hypocritically use it to defend the genocidal state of Israel doesn’t take away from how the rest of us should continue the remembrance of the Holocaust and vow to never allow genocide to happen again. Being Opposed to “never again” is something that you shouldn’t do, even ironically.

It’s the hypocrisy of it that I am against. Just look at Germany supporting Israel genocide on the Palestinian. If it was a fiction, it would be completely unbelievable, but here we are .

You didn’t say any of those things lol. You described in vague shadowy language people who embrace the idea of never again allowing another Holocaust (a group you situate yourself outside of but: not a Nazi I guess) and then you ascribe a single and noxious behavior to the group.

president has unilateral power to do anything without Congress

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unitary_executive_theory

Sadly, this only works when a Republican is in office. As soon as a Democrat steps into office, he needs two-thirds of the House and more than sixty Senators to pass legislation that had already been successfully negotiated during the Republican term in office.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_federal_executive_departments

None of these can do anything. Administrative law doesn’t real. Agents don’t have any autonomy. Cabinet secretaries don’t matter. All those accrued powers from legislation like the Patriot Act and the AUMF and the Civil Rights / Voting Rights Acts and the Interstate Highways Act and No Child Left Behind and the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act just vanish in a puff of smoke when a Democrat walks into the Oval Office.

Presidents Can’t Do Anything Without Congress. Even with Congress, they can barely do anything at all.

Until Trump gets back into office and then he can reach under his desk and turn off the entire democratic process with a flick of the switch, a thing Republicans can just do and nobody can stop them.

the optimistic side of me says most people know she isn’t gonna do anything she promises, since that’s what all politicians do, but they are voting for her anyway because she’s not an old white guy and wont do project 2025.

like, nobody can honestly be so fucking naive, so blind to history, as to think any of these establishment vampires are going to keep any of their promises or help them, right? their heads can’t be that far up their asses

the realistic side of me says, people have no memory and no conviction so they either do believe her or they don’t give a shit because “muh lesser of two evils”

i had a similar thought when i looked through the platform from the dnc and saw that all of the promises required a filibuster proof majority.

what they’re NOT saying/writing is where the devils lives:

    • kamala is going to win by a narrow margin; if she wins at all; which means that everyone else down ballot will likely fare the same; so none of that platform will become reality.

    • the democrats can change the filibuster rule at any time; but chose not to do so.

    • they’re ignoring the genocide to win; but win what?

We keep voting in slim margins. If we want an effective government we actually need to fill it with enough people who will work together.

Biden barely had the senate, including independents and 2 relatively conservative dems. The house was then lost and the house then did nothing productive.

The democrats are not a unified block because we have 2 parties for way too many views.

We need to overhaul the system to actually break the 2 party hold and that can unfortunately only happen if you vote in enough people who actually take up issues like removing first past the post, the electoral college, and trying to make mail in ballots easier, pushing for ranked choice voting so people could actually vote for candidates in the order of who they actually like the most.

Luckily some of this can be done state by state so keep track of local politics. Your state politicians can also make this better.

This is possible at the state level. Federal reform is nice, but not necessary on this front. In fact, Maine and Alaska have already accomplished this. Whats the hold up in the deep blue states?
