I went ahead and bought a bunch of indie games, picked up Darkchaser, Oxygen Not Included, and UFO50, and also grabbed Cities: Skylines. Got used to the launch prices of some AAA games, buying these discounted low-priced games really doesn’t hurt much.
Sorry but I don’t see any bikes nor traffic lights on your captcha.
I bought a bike helmet.
Oh, you meant on steam? Luckily my rig is still out of commission, so nothing.
Oh, shit, there’s a sale?
https://store.steampowered.com
Hmmm… old games I already own, games I won’t bother downloading…
Epic Mickey Rebrushed for $30 isn’t bad.
Space Marines II for $47.99 needs a bigger discount…Space Marine II came out only a few months ago, expect a deeper discount mid '25.
Just bought Riven, I’m liking it quite a lot so far. I see why it’s a classic. Love the feeling of being dropped into a completely alien world.
Great game! Just be glad you don’t have to swap the cd every 20 clicks. Riven was basically 1 disc per cutscene when it first came out and I remember getting very frustrated as a kid when I accidentally triggered an island switch and knew it’d be 10 minutes until I could get back.
The DLC for Dark Souls 3.
Decided to give it another try after picking it up in 2017 and hating it, and for whatever reason, I like it now.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, Age of Mythology: Retold, Northgard, and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.
I did like Fallen Order. It’s not particularly challenging for the most part and it being compared to Dark Souls is overblown, but it definitely “gets” Star Wars.
Yeah, I’m a total Souls junkie. My favorite game ever was Bloodborne. I was on like NG+6 when I stopped playing it. That said, I never expect any game to come anywhere close to a Fromsoft Soulslike. There’s a reason they’re all called Soulslike, IMO; they can imitate, they can’t be a Souls game.
I bought it mainly because all my friends won’t stop giving me shit for not playing Fallen Order, and it does look interesting.
Absolutely nothing, like in the past like 5 years.
Currently (re)playing all Half-Life and Portal games in order they were released.

*sigh*
[email protected] works too
Im probably only going to get few newer DLCs for American Truck Simulator. Their price finally dropped to -50%
Let me know when they’re 75% off. I have have a hard limit of $60 when it comes to spending money on games. It used to be $50 but those days are gone.
Tactical Breach Wizards
You’re in for a treat! I picked it up at launch and loved every second of it. Heat Signature was pretty fun, but the writing and level design in Breach Wizards was just all around top notch.
I’m giving Yakuza: Infinite Wealth a hard look.
It’s a great game and you should buy it
Nice! I got the previous entry for free on Playstation, and I really liked it.
Probably Persona 5 at 60% off. I liked 4 and 5 has an incredible reputation.
Wasteland 3 is $8. Seems like a great value.P5 is sooo good.
If you like P4, you should be in a good spot. Just note its style is like P4 got struck by lightning when drinking Mountain Dew Code Red.
And then, get P3 Reload when it drops in price. My favorite Persona, given a significant glow up.
Nothing, I got more than enough games left to play:
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC
- Shadow Gambit DLC
- Tactical Breach Wizards
- AI2 Nirvana Initiative
- Unicorn Overlord
- Mario&Luigi Brothership
- Against The Storm
… and actually a bunch more I can’t even recall right now…
Man I’m the same. I have a couple hours screen time after work but often I’m tired an just wanna read a book.
I’ve only just started gaming again after a twenty year gap so I’ve got a big wishlist. I get excited about games that I want to play, buy them on sale - and then don’t have time to play them.
I started gaming when pong and space invaders were cutting edge. There’s just so much cool stuff out there these days, damn we’re lucky, I just wish I had more playtime!
I got a steam deck last spring, before that I’ve not done any gaming since I had a PS2 so I’ve got a good twenty years of games to catch up on. It’s a bit frustrating how crap I am at gaming, particularly with shooters. I’m trying some different things to try and figure out what I’m into. I recently finished bioshock, so I just bought bioshock infinite. Also alien isolation, Alan wake, resident evil, and Uncharted legacy of thieves collection. I don’t get a lot of screen time but I’ll find time to try em out and see what grabs me.

Since you have a Steam Deck, did you experiment with gyro and trackpad aim? I suck at controller aiming as well but that makes it so much easier.
Hmm no I haven’t. Thanks, maybe I should give it a try. I guess trackpad aim is just using the pads instead of the joystick? I’ve not used gyros at all, does that require tilting the device? Yeah I seem to be enjoying FPS games but I’m frustrated by how shit I am even on easy mode! I used to be good at unreal tournament way back but seems like games have come a long way since then and I’ve lost the knack.

You can combine as well. I usually use the stick on the left hand and the trackpad on the right one. You can also go back and forth while playing.
does that require tilting the device?
Yep, you can set it to activate only if your finger is resting on the right joystick. Very useful for precise movement, just bring the camera in an approximate direction with the stick and do the rest with the gyro control.
For the more popular games there’s usually a few community profiles you can download and try before messing with Steam Input yourself.
Hmm I’m not sure I like the idea of tilting the device - with the steam deck you’re tilting the screen too. Doesn’t that impact your view of the screen?
But I’m definitely gonna try your trackpad suggestion. Thanks, I’ll see how it goes. Do you use it in hectic situations - like doom etc? Or is it better for sniping and stuff where you have time to aim?
Doesn’t that impact your view of the screen?
Depends on the sensitivity you configure, usually you only tilt a few degress. I do prefer it on a Dualsense controller though with no display attached to the controller.
Do you use it in hectic situations - like doom etc? Or is it better for sniping and stuff where you have time to aim?
Usually for instances where I have time to aim. I have seen quite a few people who are really good with the trackpad but I’m more of a mouse or gyro control guy.
Trackpad rules in strategy games though.
Grotto!!
$1.29 for an absolute gem of a game. Totally recommend! Works great on my steam deck and ps4 controller
I need to give this gane a second chance
I got Grotto based on your suggestion. Played it a bit yesterday. Interesting game! I’ve definitely gotten my $1.29 out of it already.
Awesome! Glad you’re enjoying it
I wanted to buy Age of Empires 2 but it seems it is not on sale :(
