When you’re in a call and you want to talk to someone or a couple people, but you’re in a group with someone you don’t particularly care for. So you have to sit there and listen to them overtalk and maybe you don’t even like their voice. But you can’t mute them or be rude so you have to waste time until they finally leave.

In an impromptu conversation this doesn’t bother me as much, but if you’re running a meeting or giving a prepared briefing, don’t say uh or uhm all the time. One, because you should know the material you’re presenting, but mainly because I’m easily distracted and will just start counting how many times you say uh instead of paying attention to the actual information.

I hate when people say if, but never follow up with then. Hey, it’s me. I’m calling about the thing . if you’ll call me back.

    What?! That’s not the end!

I dont like holding a phone to my head. I use speaker phone pretty much exclusively. Even in public yes. Altho id typically go somewhere away from people to take a call anyway. Usually i dont even hold the phone i put it down somewhere.

I dont like talking on the phone at all to be clear. But if im gonna do it itll be on speaker 9 times out of 10.

When people just keep saying “and then,” when explaining something in a presentation. It’s the kind of run on sentence that can go on forever.
