U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that Israel would hand over Gaza to the United States after fighting was over and the enclave’s population was already resettled elsewhere, which he said meant no U.S. troops would be needed on the ground.
A day after worldwide condemnation of Trump’s announcement that he aimed to take over and develop the Gaza Strip into the “Riviera of the Middle East”, Israel ordered its army to prepare to allow the “voluntary departure” of Gaza’s residents.
US military probably told him it was a war crime and they wouldn’t have any part of it.
Since when is the US military opposed to commiting war crimes?
with all undue us revisionism, this is a hard one
There is a difference in “war crimes happened” and “going out to explicitly commit a war crime”.
The US maintain ls and uses several weapons classified as war crimes. Such as cluster munitions.
Yeah. War crimes “happened”. And then they “happened” again. And again. And nothing changed. And another country got invaded illegally by the US. And another. And yet another. But all of that is not intentional.
You can see that it is all not intentional, because the US passed a law to invade a supposed ally and NATO partner, if the international court there would investigate US war crimes. And now that the court is investigating war crimes by an ally of the US, the US is attacking the court with sanctions.
Nothing says “i dont want to commit crimes” like threatening to murder the judge and slashing the tires on his cars…
Yeah it’s called politics
