As a checked-out president sits back and lets Elon Musk shred the civil service, the signs of economic calamity are growing—and Americans of all stripes are getting pissed off.
Russia has been grooming Trump since the 80s. You think Trump of all people is a good business man? There is a reason so many businesses he had failed. Russian money laundering. The man knew how to create business, funnel money, then bankrupt them.
What about what they’re doing is “un-American”? Sure it goes against the idea of what US propaganda says it’s like there but this is what it’s always been at the core. They’re just saying it outloud now.
The US has always been an “I got mine” state. It’s reaping what it’s sown.
Domestically, mostly, but this is a huge acceleration - end game style.
One of the great (and frustrating) features of functioning/stable democracies is that the ruling party typically can’t change too much too fast. So there are minor changes, pulling the country a little here, and a little there. It’s hard to royally fuck up a country in these stable democracies… but the US is no longer a stable democracy.
The USA’s international policy has been pretty consistent for a LONG time, no matter the ruling party. Spreading democracy (sometimes far better than at home), fighting terrorism/drugs/axis of evil, etc. through a mix of soft power, military power, and international institutes (more soft power). The aim was always to make/keep America (and in particular the 1%) rich and powerful.
What we are seeing now is the destruction of US influence and power abroad. It’s a successful (almost certainly) russian operation, now led by team trump.
Domestically, it should result in an uproar… class and civil warfare, destroying the final illusions of American Values. But a strong minority (100 protestors is enough with a little camera work) will scream and shout for more face eating, and the troops will intervene on their behalf, ensuring that the majority line up peacefully to watch the leopards. Even the best case scenarios are pretty grim. The trajectory has been set (many years ago now) and the ball is rolling faster than ever.
The simplest explanation is that they both have significant business interests in Russia and China and that archived video of their weird dicks are in Vladimir Putin’s classic film collection next to his Wild Wild West laserdisc, which he meticulously alphabetizes.
It may be dirt, but I don’t think they need to have dirt on a guy like Trump. Trump is 100% transactional. As long as Russia rewards Trump for his efforts, he has zero qualms with fucking over his own country. He’s an evil piece of shit and Russia aligns with his financial goals.
Maybe stealing classified documents and then showing them to a journalist while saying “I stole these, I shouldn’t have them, I shouldn’t be showing them to you, I could have declassified them while I was president, but I cant’t now”?
I have been wondering what kind of dirt Russia/China have on these guys for them to behave so profoundly un-American.

iirc he’s still carrying over losses on taxes from those many years ago.

Trump is the kind of loser who would become a russian puppet for clout.
There is no dirt that could damage Trump, murder? pedophilia? Nothing would make a dent on the guy’s reputation.
It has to be something else
Who knows… It must be terrible tho.
