It’s a brilliant piece of stupid propaganda. If the next democratic president tries to bring the country out of depression by undoing these dumb policies, the MAGA folks will claim that they nearly had solved the problem but that the awful democrats stopped it at the last minute before the prosperity would kick in.

Typical cycle. Republican cuts taxes, economy stagnates, gov goes to hell. Democrat has to get more revenue, may need to raise taxes to fix damage, economy picks up. Republicans point at Dem and say he raised taxes and voters get upset. Repeat.

Yup, been avoiding american products as much as I can at the grocery store. Fruits and veggies that can’t be grown in Canada I will get from Mexico or anywhere else in the world except the US.

And not just about the attacks and threats. With the current US administration gutting regulations, there will be more risks of getting sick from eating contaminated food products.

Not even a voting majority. Look up drop off votes. They stole the election. If your country uses electronic voting machines stop by any means necessary.

No, but our government and its corporate handlers are, and money is all they understand. They need to be hurt and we are unavoidable collateral damage.

I’m an American myself. I want the country to die, so another may take its place. If the country doesn’t fall, the country will continue to slowly choke out everyone underneath it instead, with worse impact over time than the country outright collapsing.

I only hold a grudge against the people who caused these problems in the first place. It’s my goal to support everyone I personally can.

I mean look at the stock market, customer sentiment, etc. Everything is pointing down and we haven’t started to see the unemployment that’s going to be brought on from all the government layoffs and attempts to rescind grants/contracts.

I think the next jobs report is going to be painful and we won’t see anything positive economically for a while after that.

You’d think, but they’re literally cutting like mad men. And it looks like people are already noticing, Wisconsin just went blue for the judge and Florida got surprisingly close to flipping (if you look at the numbers it seems that Republicans were turning out in numbers to vote blue).

This is the entire point of the deferred resignation program being offered to Federal workers. It keeps people from being able to claim unemployment and pushes the true jobless numbers out into the next fiscal year (October) at the earliest. Now, why do you think they don’t want the real pain point for the American people to be until after they’ve raised the debt ceiling and cut taxes on billionaires?

The thing about seeing things coming and having that insight be rejected by people is that they will really get angry if you say I told you so. In fact they will try to make you not convincing them being the real problem.

      Edit: Whoops fixed it.

As an American mine is Europe/Canada > the rest of the developed world OR blue states > Mexico > other countries > red states. It’s surprisingly easy to avoid food from red states. For tech/online services I prefer European over everywhere else.

Pfft, just watch, it will be an excuse to fire people in droves/cut wages while executives either get raises for “bold” responses or golden parachutes. Day traders will adore the volatility at the expense of retirement funds. Under duress, companies will merge like crazy since the only barrier now seems to be complying with government ethos. Reduced capital gains will juice the market. The masses will shoulder tariffs.
