If fewer days than Hegseth, that would seem to imply less competence, but I feel like a highly competent person in this administration wouldn’t last long at all. There needs to be some optimum level of incompetence to survive. So a less competent SecDef may actually last longer, but cause more damage.

Time till catastrophe. Hegseth managed a catastrophic failure after sending battle plans to his friends and family. He stayed in office long after a major unforced fuckup, but that was someone else’s fuckup and therefore not counted in Hegseth’s competence.
