I have been winderjng about this. Is it people censoring themselves or is there some widespread initiative to clean up language on the internet? Is it a side effect of YouTube demonetising any videos with a somewhat controversial topic?

Some people think that when an advert is displayed as part of a post or video the advertiser is agreeing with the user generated content. So to keep the advertisers happy people use alternate words until those become “bad words for advertisers”

Depends on which instance. .ml for example will censor the word out.

do you think he actually screenshotted and made this, or he found the image and is reposting it?

because if you think he created the image, I have news for you.

If they’re reposting it, they can take the extra 15 seconds to check TinEye for the original first. There is no good excuse for censorship.

Freedom of expression is not allowed if self censorship is the method of expression. Is what it is.

Except for nazi shit, you’ll rightfully get banned pretty quickly for that sort of stuff on most instances. A lot of other platforms have freer speech in that regard, like twitter.

It was a 50 year old guy in a wheelchair that had a revolver in his shoe. He through it at the roach and the gun fell out and discharged, shooting him in the foot.
