Democratic Party values too this 2024, Harris campaigning with Liz Cheney in the Home Stretch. After spiting the actual left in every other way possible before that point, campaigning with LIz Cheney to really drive the point home. They are more conservative than George Bush Sr. Vote for us because the other guy is worse. As Schumer pointed out, for every one family in Philadelphia they lose, they will pick up two nazi families in the suburbs! But those middle of the road voters do not now and never have existed like that, you have to stoke your base. Republicans get that, they keep their base happy, they throw them bones, make concessions. The religious right always get concrete promises of things that will be done, it’s very quid pro quo.

Democrats spite theirs in every way possible. Relying solely on the dumb that don’t know better than to believe them, and the vote against the other party reluctantly choosing them. Never enough to confortably win, not the least after Biden’s shit show, and no amount of yelling down anyone pointing out he had 40% approval for 3 years, and Harris never cracked 30% all term (so great pick to run unopposed,) was what we call unpopular. That despite their aversion to populism under the logic that they call the president a populist, the president is bad, therefore populism, and popular, bad, that we choose our leaders based on popular votes.
