  • Carney is honestly contradictory at many moments. On one hand, he is anti-Trump and wants an anti-Trump trade alliance and to prepare for a possible invasion by the US. On the other hand, he is pushing through and expanding information sharing with US intelligence and corporations on Canadians and seriously impeding Canadian civil rights. He also at times seemed to be trying to work with Trump while also speaking in opposition.

I’m going to say that Carney is a servant of money and nothing else. Even if Trump somehow lives another 10 years and is still able to get shit done with his soup brain all the bluster about deals and resistance will be for nothing as he continues to work with US companies like nothing is happening and nothing has ever happened.

  • The Chinese don’t give a damn what you do outside of China (unless it is a universal crime like robbery or murder). But one thing I would suggest you do is that if you go, get new clothes to take with you and new shoes. I live in a place where marijuana use is fairly common, and while that is no big deal, if they find marijuana residue on your clothes they might still arrest you even if you don’t use marijuana and are unaware that it was on you.

This is what happened to someone in Dubai who was sentenced to 4 years for 0.003 grams of marijuana on his shoe. China is a country that similarly has a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs, and Chinese media portrays drug smugglers and users in ways that would make an 80s action movie hero blush. This is probably owing to the cultural trauma they had with the opium wars and opium use (which was primarily introduced to them by the British, but the world then acted like it was an age old problem that they needed kind white folk to help them with. The CCP after the Chinese Civil War adopted such a draconian anti-drug war that drug manufacture disappeared… they would basically massacre entire villages if they found any drugs being produced or grown).

  • It is astonishing at the sheer amount of civil rights infringements and authoritarianism rising in countless formerly ‘free’ Western nations was orchestrated by Israeli interests. Basically you see all the anti-privacy survellience laws that are being passed left right and center over the past few years? Many of them (if not all) were advocated by Israelis and the software to do it is developed by them.

It is just incredible that they’re doing all of this shit for a spit of land that they claim some guy in the sky gave them 3000 years ago.

  • The problem is the massive opposition to all this by oil and automakers, and as time passed the Libertarians and worldwide conservatives all joined forced against the ‘bleeding heart liberal/Politically Correct/Woke’ forces to basically make it a point of their identity that they are as opposed to the environment and anything to help humanity. It is how we get people like RFK Jr. who makes a point of patronizing a burger joint that fries their stuff in beef tallow and uses disposable plastic straws (those straws have their uses for some people, but most people don’t really need them. I almost never use straws myself).

  • I would say that it could not be AI because AI is a nightmarish MESS and no AI has the imagination and powerful vision of humans. Seriously, Hieronymus Bosch, and the numerous other medieval/renaissance artists who came up with some serious outlandish visions that they put on display through their art is the thing for the ages.

Uncreative people often claim that visions like that are the product of drugs and insanity, but often times creative people are just that… creative! Many Creative people aren’t even weird or off when people meet them.

Rowan Atkinson, the creator and actor behind Mr. Bean, also did a shitload of other comedic roles (Blackadder, Not the 9 o’clock News, Man vs. Bee, etc) wrote most of the craziest scenarios you’ve ever seen… but when people meet him and talk to him in real life, they’re surprised at just how BORING he is as a person. Weird Al Yankovic, one of the most successful novelty singers of the 80s to 2000s, is a fairly sociable person in real life and does make jokes like everyone else, but nothing would tell you that this guy can parody other artist’s styles and genres to a T (and in some cases his parodies exceed the popularity of the original).

Again, people who did many of those Renaissance artworks, or early 18th century Sequential arts (such as Hogarth) packed so much detail in their works that the way many art historians look at those old paintaings not as simple still images, but more like cinema in one image. Because they were packed with so much detail that you had to spend a lot of time just looking at individual bits and parts, and many of those told their own stories.
