This is quickly becoming the norm in every industry. Every employer wants fewer employees to do more, without paying them more of course.

There’s a saying, “the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing mankind that he doesn’t exist.”
I disagree. I think the greatest trick would be to prove that you’re the good guy, and the other guy is the bad guy. If anything about the Xtian Bible is true, Lucifer is absolutely the good guy.

It’s both! His slaves create the system, then sell it to the government, who is bribed to ensure it gets used.

Not until a minority tries to off the Toupee.
What is not to like.
Being awake at that hour.
The city is in Indiana. OP thinks it’s a cool part of the city because there’s an Applebee’s and an Olive Garden just a short 30 minute drive away.
I thought that was called a Sound of Thunder. Because the last line went “there was a sound of thunder, then silence.” Or something to that effect, heavily implying that the time safari employee killed the hunter who stepped off the trail and on to a butterfly.
I also remember that one of the results of stepping on the butterfly was that all English words were spelled fonetically (typo intentional), a “mistake” I would happily go back in time to commit.
They always did seem to get louder when a wave of heat would roll over the area.
I very strongly disagree. It may appear that way, but community is simply less profitable than “influencers”, so communities aren’t invested in. Social media and even following influencers/content creators is an example of people looking for community, just not having healthy communities to pick from.
The BBB is a privately owned corporation with all the issues of Yelp (blackmailing companies to pay to hide bad reviews).
It gets better, because all the money they “lost” on a movie they can also write off. Oops, we didn’t make any money this year because we put out 10 billion dollar movies and only made 10 million at the box office. Tax break please!
Would you be ok with a limited spooky season if it came with a ban (enforced by the death penalty, no trial), on Xmas music outside of a 36 hour window starting at noon on Xmas eve?
All the comments saying it’s a distraction from how the working class is being oppressed by the owner class are right, but also…
There have always been bigots, small town small minded people who don’t “know any gay people” but there was that one skinny boy in their class that didn’t like sports so he was bullied until he left town at 18. And now, that generation of bigots is finally dying out. Not only due to age but due to an increased connection with the greater world. A small town bigot might not know any LGBT people personally but they are aware of their existence, due to television and the Internet. So quietly ignoring people who are different than you doesn’t work anymore. And a dying animal fights harder than ever.
These death throes are useful to the owner class. But they are still dying out. And if we can exterminate capitalism and figure out a way to survive in a post-warmed globe, we might just see the end of (this particular type) of bigotry.
There’s always openings in front line infantry!
things aren’t as rosy as they were a couple of years ago
A couple of years ago it was a thornbush with no roses, so what does that say about now?
The rich are actively trying to be yote into space. All we’re saying is redirect their rockets to ensure they don’t come home again.
More than just a place to sleep; a place to call your own. And every place I’ve rented did not feel like my own; most corporate rental contracts make it very clear that this is their property, don’t you dare make it feel like home, you only get to temporarily reside there by the grace of their good will (and by paying out your nose, ears, eyes, and ass for the privilege).
