Yeah it’s inescapable really. Many people probably are more up to date with American politics than those of their own country.

Rematch hasn’t released yet, but a few public playtests happened. While there are some strong similarities to Rocket League like controlling a single player, the walled arena and having a form of boost, it’s still very different and hasn’t yet given me the same thrill.
Rematch does not have the verticality, and so it’s missing a whole dimension (and multiple degrees of freedom) of skill expression. The arena is significantly larger, as it’s built for more players, which results in a much slower game. It has the potential to be a very solid new esports game, however I can’t see it pulling away many players from Rocket League.
Well that’s the neat part
At least it doesn’t have super distracting glass effects everywhere.

It’s called dynamic compression, often labeled as night mode. Makes quiet stuff louder and loud stuff more quiet. My AVR has it as a feature and probably most TVs as well.
It’s a trend in road cycling at least. You completely degrease the chain and then dip it in a special hot wax. Apparently it lasts longer than oil and doesn’t attract dirt.
I do have to oil the chain on my bike every now and then though. (I know about waxing, haven’t made the jump yet)
Oh, it does show up on desktop, not on mobile however.
I know right? It even has var with implicit typing now. While I prefer Kotlin any day, there’s been quite a few qol improvements to Java over the last few years.

Since Java 21, this has been shortened significantly. https://www.baeldung.com/java-21-unnamed-class-instance-main
That’s just having good people as friends.
It’s also 80€ in Europe. Everyone I talked to is waiting for the price to drop, including me.
My friend’s name is literally “Long”. I think that counts.
I didn’t even notice. However now that I’m aware, I like that it’s not shown. Displaying a total score just incentivises karma farming.
I don’t think that, as Microsoft hasn’t done a lot (any?) of that stuff in recent years. It’s good to be cautious but really what is the problem with opening the source for something that already existed for a while and is embraced by many?
WSL allows me to develop in a Linux environment while still enjoying my very custom Windows setup and programs that I am used to. So no, WSL did not make me choose a side, but instead helps me to get the best of both worlds at once.
It’s a reference to The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.
Probably this ball of water and dirt we’re living on.
