Preach brother. One of the best uses of generative AI for me would be transcribing videos into an article or tutorial depending on the content.
not sure why, but i read this in J K Simmons’ voice.
I so want them to do this. Big ol baphomet right on the cover, and put the TST tenets on the first page. If they undercut the Trump bible aren’t they kind of obligated to go with the cheaper option?
it will attempt anything. just search around for anyone else whose tried the app. odds are pretty good.
I’m guessing those pieces of software won’t run in wine? Its pretty good these days.
Radiator heating is not so omnipresent either. I’m familiar with it, but modern homes in my area do not generally use it.
What? For like, decades.
The answer is still yes. Your posts go out to the fediverse and comments come in from the fediverse.
Its unfortunately true. I’m not sure how to get more engagement from businesses and municipalities, but if they got involved to maintain their locations then it would be a great help. Just have to make it attractive enough in terms of tourism and money. Or just easy enough. Like a POI database that would update entries across many of the map platforms at once. No idea how feasible that is, but I’m sure business owners would love to have one simple tool to update their data rather than 10.
Just remember that these community efforts are only maintained by the community. If the data is inaccurate then the area needs more help.
As Darth Vader said, you have to be the change you want to see in the world.
If you appreciate OpenStreetMaps then check out StreetComplete. Its “like” Pokemon Go but for improving maps.
I’ve been using Magic Earth for a while and it is quite good. Better interface than OsmAnd and Organic, but I keep all three installed.
Unfortunately I don’t have the links any more, but I did some research and there are some good privacy-focused apps for this. I recall seeing some with features specifically to prevent unauthorized access and with emergency data shredding functionality. I think I saw one that would cleverly create random realistic data if accessed incorrectly.
As an Oklahoman, this feels accurate.
I like this idea so much. Do the public libraries not have some kind of video service already? Seems like a network of library-powered PeerTube instances would serve that niche really well.
Yeah, I have strongly mixed feelings on this. Perhaps we should intact term limits, but probably not as short as usually proposed and probably paired with something to limit outside influence. The common claim I hear is that with a more junior Congress they would be even more reliant on the parts of “government” that stick around longer, like lobbyists.
Ah. I still have a “gmail” account but it’s entirely for the places that require a Google account now.
As for YouTube, I just stumbled across this thread: https://lemmy.zip/post/16741291
I dunno about PHP Storm, but I’ve used pretty much all their other IDEs and they’re hands down better than their competitors. I wish they had picked better names for Data Grip and Data Spell though. I can never keep track of which is which.
