That was touching, thank you for sharing
I had to source the series using alternative means since Netflix is not available where I live, and they blocked the VPN I used to access my paid subscription.
I’ve watched the trailer sometime last week, and it’s very promising. Looking forward to binging through on the weekend.
Dang…
I only have Disney+ and (HBO) Max subscriptions. This might be the tipping point… just enough to buy a subscription. I’ll put this under serious consideration.
After discovering your work about ten years ago and watching it all develop,… now I have to watch the series.
I love the way you think and see the world. It is depressing, despairing, dark and dismal while also making me laugh, smile, make fun of and make light of the terrible things I see in this world. You make us face awful truths while also making fun of us … and yourself.
You shine a beautiful light under the covers of this ugly machine of a civilization we’ve created. It makes us take a step back to see the world for what it is and possibly make it better rather than putting up with the way it is.
And I love you for it.
I’ll definitely watch the series.
Thanks for everything you do.
Unfortunately it’s pretty boring. Got a few moments, but overall I didn’t enjoy it.
This is an ad
Report it.
I kinda agree, but on the other hand, The Oatmeal is one of the funniest and most prolific web comics out there, so it’s one of those rare instances where I don’t mind.
They’re (Netflix) probably trying to replicate the success of Strange Planet on Apple TV.
Except the creator is a major douche who took advantage of his sleazy SEO skills to make it prolific.
This nonsense still floating around all these years later.
Sauce please?
Dang someone takes art criticism to a new level.
Ok, that’s literally a bad website, and they criticize him for bad art. I’m no graphic designer, but they should higher one. And the “source” is just another sourceless statement.
That’s not the only site talking about him, but it was convenient to find and touched on everything.
Hilarious.
“This site is trash and makes tons of unsourced claims.”
“Well, this is only ONE of the MYRIAD sites I COULD have given you. It was somehow more “convenient” for me to give you this one than any of the other reputable sites to which I’m referring.”
So, dude makes art on the internet and wanted to use his output to create a revenue stream for himself? Shocking, how dare he. Randall Munroe got popular doing xkcd, and now he’s written books just to further make a name for himself. A damning indictment.
So what?
No. This is Patrick.
Also, it’s an ad written like an academy speech or a thank-you note by a great guy. You don’t see that often so I’d let it slide.
