Had to do them quietly so I didn’t wake her.
I want to say “good job, she will be happy you did” but in my heart I’m thinking “naps together are just the best - go be a bed warmer” but that is just me.
You are a good man.
Thank you. I try.
Heh, me too. 25 years with the wife luckely…I can cook.
Hey, sorry for the slow reply. I like doing the dishes too so this post resonated with me. At the moment our boiler (US: furnace?) is playing up though so I have to repressurise it every time. Cheers for posting!
My boiler won’t hold pressure; there’s no leaks that I’m aware of, but it also seems to operate quite comfortably at 0 bar (hot water, warm radiators). I get it serviced annually so I don’t really know what the problem is.
My best guess is ghosts keeping it alive at this point (my house is very old).
It’s so hard not to clank dishes together. I won’t do them if I am up late.
It is. I was careful to avoid waking her up.
They are great, but if I take naps, I cannot sleep at night. Plus, it’s often a chance for me to have some alone/me time. Of course I love my wife and spending time with her, but everyone needs some alone time, and between working and being home with her, I don’t often get time by myself for myself.
The real question here is did you do them because it made you feel happy, knew it would make her happy, or knew it would make her complain less about the dishes not being done.
Both have a positive outcome, so either way, good on him
Hah. Good question. I did it because it made me feel happy.
